Ezugi, a well-known provider of live games, proudly presents this seven-seat eight-deck blackjack that features two optional side bets. The game is streamed in real time from a physical studio in Costa Rica and the roulette tables are handled by professional dealers backed by experienced pit bosses who are ready to step in if needed. There are several tables marked as Blackjack A, B… etc. that differ in table limits, with the minimum acceptable limit being $5 or $10. The Ezugi platform runs well on numerous Android and iOS devices with different resolutions and screen sizes.

Video, options and user interface

Video feed is of excellent quality. Players are given three video quality options to pick from; these are Auto, High (default) and Low. For a more comfortable and hassle-free game play, you can select the Auto option for automatic customization of the stream.

All controls and interface elements are positioned neatly at the bottom of the screen, making the video feed box very spacious and uncluttered. A hideable chat box is designed to send messages to the dealer and players. Besides, the chat facility has the Support tab that is used for getting in touch with the customer service team in case of issues. A great way to say “thank you” to the dealer is to tip them by clicking on the Tips icon and choosing a suitable chip denomination you want to give. To read blackjack rules for the table you are playing at just click the “?” button at the bottom right corner.

Basic rules

  • dealer stands on all 17’s and hits on 16
  • player can split any same-valued hand (e.g., 10+K) and even double down after split
  • blackjack pays traditionally at 3 to 2. Dealer’s BJ versus player’s BJ results in a tie (push)
  • player is offered to take insurance as an option
  • no late surrender
  • failure to make a decision within the allotted betting time is equivalent to the decision to stand.

Side Bets

Each of the seven betting spots feature two additional spaces for placing side bets that are resolved and paid out independently of the result of the main bet. The Perfect Pairs side bet is based on the player’s first two cards and can produce one of the three winning outcomes:

  • Mixed Pair: Pays out 6 to 1 if the player has two cards of the same denomination (Ace of Spades + Ace of Diamonds)
  • Colored Pair: Pays out 12:1 if the player has two cards of the same denomination and color (Ace of Spades + Ace of Clubs)
  • Perfect Pair: This is the most valuable combination that awards 25:1. To win the side bet, the player must have a pair of identical cards.

The second optional bet named 21+3 factors in the initial two cards dealt to the player and the face-down card of the dealer. Winning combinations formed on this side bet resemble those in poker and include Suited Trips, Straight Flush, Three of a Kind, Straight and Flush, with the highest payout of 100:1 for Suited Trips (three identical cards).
