With 3k+ employees worldwide and 7 live studios in Bucharest, Riga and other cities, Evolution Gaming is a prominent provider of live dealer solutions on the global market. The games coming from that developer feature exceptional quality, intuitive interface and an authentic Vegas feel. In 2016, it was the 7th time that Evolution Gaming was awarded the EGR Live Casino Supplier of the Year. In view of this, it is little wonder that many casinos all over the world use this popular live dealer platform.

Live blackjack from Evolution Gaming is presented in 10+ tables that differ in min/max limits and design. Decorated with purple and white flowers, the live studio has a homely and inviting atmosphere. Dealers are all friendly, professional and well-trained; besides, experienced pit bosses are always there to resolve any issue if needed. Due to flexible betting limits, the live blackjack will be perfect for players of all budgets, including high rollers.

Video, options and user interface

The game auto-adjusts the video feed by default, based on the performance of a user’s device. Alternatively, you can click the Settings button and choose of the four video quality options: Low, Medium, High or HD. In the same menu, there are controls for dealer’s voice and casino sounds. The Account History button is located near the Settings button and clicking it displays information on all personal bets and results grouped by date.

At the bottom right corner, there is the Table+ button that shrinks the current game to about half size, splits the screen in two and shows a casino lobby that you can browse to open another live game and play two or more games simultaneously.

Basic rules

The live blackjack follows traditional rules with no rare variations that would require you to modify a basic strategy. These rules are:

  • dealer hits on 16 and stands on all 17’s
  • player can double down on any two initial cards
  • splitting of cards of the same value (e.g., Ten + King) is allowed once (no resplitting)
  • doubling down after split is not allowed
  • blackjack pays 3 to 2
  • insurance pays 2 to 1.

Side bets

There are two side bets that can be placed in addition to the main bet and are resolved independently of the main bet. This means that you can lose the main bet but still receive a payoff on either or both side bets.

The Perfect Pairs side bet wins if the player’s first two cards make up any pair: a mixed pair (the same rank but different suits and different color), a colored pair (different suits but the same color) or a perfect pair (identical cards). The highest payout is 25:1 and is for a perfect pair (e.g., two Jacks of Spades).

The 21+3 side bet pays out the maximum of 100:1 for any of the five winning combinations that consist of two player’s cards plus a dealer’s card, e.g., any three Kings make up the Three of a Kind hand that awards 30:1.

Bet Behind

You can place a bet behind a seated player and share the results of that player as if it were your own hand. The Bet Behind options are user-configurable and you can decide whether to purchase insurance or double down if the main player you are betting behind opts to act respectively.
