Basic rules
- dealer stands on all 17’s and hits on 16
- player can split any same-valued hand (e.g., 10+K) and even double down after split
- blackjack pays traditionally at 3 to 2. Dealer’s BJ versus player’s BJ results in a tie (push)
- player is offered to take insurance as an option
- no late surrender
- failure to make a decision within the allotted betting time is equivalent to the decision to stand.
Side Bets
Each of the seven betting spots feature two additional spaces for placing side bets that are resolved and paid out independently of the result of the main bet. The Perfect Pairs side bet is based on the player’s first two cards and can produce one of the three winning outcomes:
- Mixed Pair: Pays out 6 to 1 if the player has two cards of the same denomination (Ace of Spades + Ace of Diamonds)
- Colored Pair: Pays out 12:1 if the player has two cards of the same denomination and color (Ace of Spades + Ace of Clubs)
- Perfect Pair: This is the most valuable combination that awards 25:1. To win the side bet, the player must have a pair of identical cards.
The second optional bet named 21+3 factors in the initial two cards dealt to the player and the face-down card of the dealer. Winning combinations formed on this side bet resemble those in poker and include Suited Trips, Straight Flush, Three of a Kind, Straight and Flush, with the highest payout of 100:1 for Suited Trips (three identical cards).
